Announcement Gourd Art work has evolved from my long time work with many different arts and crafts.
I have won awards in sculpture, contemporary and most unusual use of materials at the National Gourd Fine Art Show in Kerrville, TX Arts and Cultural Center. Also won First, third and honorable mentions at the Brownsville Fine Art Museum's International art shows
My Fine Art Gourd works are all one of a kind including containers, sculptures, spirit figures, nativity sets, miniatures as well as larger pieces.
Work evolving from my gourd work, such as jewelry, ornaments, felted natural fibers, embroidery will also be offered in my shop and some supplies. Custom gourd art pieces upon request.

Have been creating more gourd art pieces and wanted to show and sell them. Am now retired, so have more time to devote to my art instead of all my time being with music. Music still shows up in my art work in various ways and I still teach private violin, viola and cello lessons.
Am a member of the Harlingen Arts Forum in TX and display my work At RGV Birding Festival in Harlingen, TX in Nov., Wngs Over the Hills nature Festival Fredricksburg,TX, D'Arte Gallery in Harlingen, TX.

Have been working more with natural fibers - washing, spinning, plying, dyeing to include them in the coiling of the rims of gourds and other parts. Am using more natural materials in my creations, too.

Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center has a juried Gourd Fine Art show once a year and I have been accepted and won awards various years. Brownsville Fine Art Museum has an International show where I have shown and won awards.
Will continue to expand my horizons in my artwork by continuing to learn more techniques and include more in my work.
In my shop I will put up finished pieces and also some supplies such as fiber and felting materials etc.
Hope all who see my work enjoy looking and will add some of my pieces to their lives.
